Tycoon Leonard Saber's multinational company makes a Barnum presentation of its intelligent system to link all Household appliances with shopping lists etcetera. Ben Kendall's secret government agents team, mainly comprising Guinea pigs, plus a mole and insects like the fly Mooch and even cockroaches, must stop it, being a cover for a deadly weapon which would exterminate humanity. The FBI is not impressed and shuts down Kendall's program, but he and his animal team go on.
After reading some of the other reviews for this movie, I was beginning to wonder if I was reading about the same movie I had just seen with my grandson. I cannot believe how many reviewers did not like G-Force. My husband and I thought it was great and it kept our 4 year old grandson totally entertained the entire time. And this was despite technical difficulties at the theater that caused the movie to start almost an hour late! It was the first actual 3D movie we had seen (though we have seen other examples of 3D at amusement parks, etc.) and we very impressed. My husband and I were literally laughing out loud at our grandson ducking when things would appear to fly out the screen right at him. And I have no idea how they accomplished making the fly seem to come from the back of the theater towards the screen. The fly seemed to buzz right by my ear!! I would definitely recommend this movie.
First of all, it wasn't funny at all. Second of all, the music sounded exactly the sameTransformers. Third, the Mole's plot was a ripoff of Terminator, and his machine was a ripoff of Transformers. Disney needs to stop making terrible movies (G-Force and Aliens in the Attic)an excuse to spend some money, and start making good use of their money. And the part when the furry guinea pig was unconscience, I literally counted backwards from 3-2-1, and he woke up. And when the Mole suddenly changed his mind about global domination, that really ticked me off, there's no way a person with that determination to take over the world can suddenly STOP. Overall, I'd give this s 2 out of 10. Disney needs to get new writers and directors, because they need to go die in a hole!
Toward the end, G-Force starts making no sense at all, neither tonally or narratively. It may not matter to the target audience, though the look on my son's face when it was over was pure Buster Keaton. He says he liked it well enough. Me, a little less.
